About

We built AthlEAT because we needed it

Our kids play competitive soccer and volleyball at a national level. That means a week isn't a week — it's two-a-days, a Tuesday game that starts at 8pm, a Saturday tournament three states away with four matches and a hotel breakfast, and school somewhere in between. Every one of those days needs different fuel at a different time.

We looked for something that could handle it. Meal planning apps assumed a normal week. Nutrition guidance assumed one workout a day at a predictable hour. Everything either ignored the schedule or expected us to do the translation ourselves, at 10pm, after unloading the car.

So we built the thing we couldn't find.

AthlEAT reads the schedule — from any club or league platform that publishes a calendar link — and works backwards from each event. It knows the difference between a 7am tournament and a 7pm practice, because that difference is the whole problem. Every athlete in the house gets their own profile: their age, their sport, their weight, what they'll actually eat. And the more you use it, the better it gets at suggesting food your kid won't push around the plate.

The surprise was what it did to our grocery shopping. The week's meals roll up into one list, so we go to the store once with a plan instead of three times because nobody thought about Saturday until Friday night.

    Where the guidance comes from

AthlEAT's recommendations are grounded in published sports nutrition guidance from the American College of Sports Medicine, the International Society of Sports Nutrition, the NCAA and Team USA — the same bodies that set the standards collegiate and Olympic programs work from.

What AthlEAT does is apply that guidance to your athlete's actual age, sport, weight, intensity of schedule, and other factors like weather and feedback from wearables like Whoop or Apple Health, so you're not translating a research paper into a Tuesday night.

We're explicit about the limit: this is general sports nutrition planning, not individual clinical advice.

For anything involving your athlete's health, growth or a diagnosed condition, work with their doctor or a Registered Dietitian.

    Who's behind it

AthlEAT is built by WABAM! LLC, an AI holding company where AthlEAT was incubated.

Between us: former college athletes, inventors, entrepreneurs and venture investors, with careers spent building B2B and B2C software and working in the Food is Medicine industry. We've shipped software for a living and driven to practice in the evenings. AthlEAT sits where those two things meet, which is not a coincidence.

We're parents who got tired of guessing. That's the whole origin story.
